  • Comprehensive sexual education vs. abstinence-only programs

  • Current statistics

  • Information on pornography, STIs, and teen pregnancy

  • Tools for discussing sex, sexuality, puberty, and bodies with kids of all ages

Jodi Kaye Bio

Jodi Kaye, the creator and founder of The Rites of Passage, is an Arizona native and the mother of three. Jodi has been a Registered Nurse for over 20 years. With a nursing career primarily focused on women and children’s health issues Jodi spent 15 years in the specialty of Labor and Delivery and Perinatal Bereavement Counseling.

  • She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree and has obtained National Certification in Obstetric Nursing. Motherhood and her career have led her to a love and appreciation for teaching, parenting, and addressing children’s issues.

Jodi created The Rites of Passage as a result of her love for teaching in nursing, and also because she is a mom to three daughters. She wanted to find a healthy and fun way to discuss these stages with her girls so they could grow up to be happy and confident in all aspects of their lives. Once she figured out how to openly talk to her girls about puberty and sexuality, Jodi realized that she could also help others contribute to the growth and education of their children, and has been doing so since early 2013. Jodi believes that the best way to accomplish this is by developing and delivering high quality educational workshops meant to encourage and strengthen the parent-child relationship and communication methods.
